Cruel laws of Nature

    So ferocious you are ,
    the king of the forests;
   You are merciless in kills,
   man-eater, cutthroat and fierce;
  As a pack you lead the jungle,
  we take a bow, O! brave one..

   Black streaks like thunder bolts,
   you move unseen and unwavered;
 Not the most cruel but ruthless,
   and we skin you,as an  honour;
  In the law of karma,it may be seen,
that you're not the only ones being mean..

    You are so gigantic and majestic,
    and fearful with your enormity;
   You move as a herd, harmless,
   but unaware of your strengths;
   You serve us faithfully, guiltless,
 Thus we exploit you, innocent mammoth;

you gush out your love and affection,
    for just two meals a day;
you bark day and night, unruffled
   protecting us every second;
   But  we beat you and stone you,
  one day you can teach us how to love..

  Slay animals, that’s what we are known for,
     but we claim that the Gods created us;
   Never had a second thought to hurt,
   we are cruel, heartless humanoids;
 If we still allege this as the laws of nature,
   I’m neither a poet, nor this is a poem..
